[transmission start]thoughts: committment... or lack of it...
this is the ultimate irony.... a guy who's so afraid of the issue of committment asking other people to commit. to cell group. and only now, after opening what he regards to be his 'can of worms', he finds out their true feelings to the whole issue. because i feel Veritas is on the verge of breaking up - becoming a failed experiment. and i'll be responsible for it... because i didn't want to, and didn't know how to... be a leader...
but what it boils down to... the whole problem behind the whole thing... is committment... it's a scary prospect. a difficult word. a hard promise to keep. i know the fear. i've been there. without committment, Veritas will die. because even if the whole issue is about timing, then this is all i have to say - without committment, no time is a good time...
this isn't just unique to this particular situation. it applies to the rest of my life. perhaps even yours. there will always be times where you will have to commit to things. in work. in relationships. people will have expectations. and they won't always be understanding....
so what will you do then? just know that to commit to everything is impossible. be realistic. what you commit to shows what is important to you (or more important)... and if you feel you're committing too much... then say so. sure there's responsibility and obligations to people, but better to have less things to do and do them well and not try to do everything and do them all badly.
choose wisely what to commit to. and do it well.
till next time...
