[transmission start]thoughts: Christmas 04...
right. so the Christmas event has come (and gone). and it wasn't as bad as i had expected. although there were a few major scares that made me panic (albeit perhaps unnecessarily). i really thought on friday we couldn't make it in time to buy (and wrap) all the hampers. but we did. i thought on saturday when the bus came 1/2 hour late, we were heading for disaster (but we weren't). when there was a delay for the fashion show, i thought to myself 'oh shit, we're screwed' (but we weren't). so for all those who're wondering what we did, here's the run down...
Friday...
12 noon: meet June, Alison and Mindy to do shopping for hampers (don't know what i would have done without you gals)
4pm: reach CMC, where due to miscommunication, packers have been waiting 2 hours. and all this is after frantically trying to get the stuff on the shopping list (sort of like Amazing Race).
Saturday...
3pm: Meet in church to see skit rehearsal and prayer meeting.
4.15 pm: everyone's arrived. except the bus.
4.45 pm: bus finally arrives
5pm: reach St George's and the event begins...
so there were games (thanks Sam Wee), food (thanks for co-ordinating Uncle Mark), skit (props to CAM for a job well done), fashion show (props to the residents at St George's for the great show) and caroling (props to YM for a super job)...
so that was pretty much it i guess... games, skit, fashion show and caroling. i learned that although everything didn't really go as planned (in terms of timing), somehow it worked out in the end... shows you how much (or rather little) faith i have right?
so anyway, here's my thank you list...
carollers: Kelvin Ong, Alison, Lynnette, Liying, 'Pert, Shawn Yong, Janice, Jesh, Rebecca, Sabrina, Elena
Skit: Deborah, Salene, Alvin, June and Calvin Fong
Helpers: Ter, Simon, Sophil, Jarred, Max, Mindy, Kevin, Audrey (even though some of you guys didn't come down)
Comm: Paoyin, Sam Wee, Colin, Kun Han, Shaun Chong, Liting, Lydia
