thoughts: a series of unfortunate events...

over the next few days, i'm going to encounter the following situation...

meet a member of the singapore judiciary, listen to him lecture me on things i don't want to hear, without hearing my opinion on the whole matter no less - especially why i should see a man who i have little respect for, with the 2 prime reasons being both money and blood ties. and this member of the judiciary is supposed to be a christian. blood ties maybe i can excuse (since it IS stated in the 10 commandments). but money? what kind of a reason is that? coming from a christian no less... all the more shocking.

how can he be blinded to the situation at hand, not acknowledging there is definitely an element of injustice and sin? how dare he say that the circumstances "could very well be reversed"? a member of the judiciary he may be, but what gives him the right to judge in that way? only God can do that. because like the rest of us, he's human.

what ever happened to impartiality in mediation? what is the singapore judicial system coming to?
