thoughts: an ending...

"just before he left, he stood there, looked over his shoulder and hesitated for a moment. only a moment, if only to recall things that had happened, memories that were part of the many that he had built up over the years. smiling to himself as he walked away he realised that his work here was done. he had completed what he liked to term 'the job', and he was glad. he knew that he would not be needed anytime soon, and that was always a good thing. he continued his journey, walking till he became but a dot on the horizon and after a while even that disappeared into the distance. the boy knew the purpose of his existence - to be there when needed, to give help if it was wanted (especially in THAT area). the rest of the time, he was the person who was always there but not quite - always part of the background, never in the spotlight, but most of the time seemed to know what was going on. it was his gift, and he used it because it was his responsibility. that was the reason why the boy existed. that made the boy who he was. "

the above passage comes from no story, no play, no book, no author. it comes from the mind of chris. because it's the truth. it's dedicated to GCT (you take care kiddo). i'm glad i could help. it's good to know that you're ok. but don't get me wrong. to me this kind of thing isn't a chore (though i like to think of it as "the job" - remind me to tell you why one day), rather i'd do it as long as i'm needed to. because i have a gift, and it's my responsibility to use it.

till next time...
