[transmission start]thoughts: sentimentality vs practicality...
ever had those times where on one hand you wanted to desperately cling to something familiar, something good, something that meant a lot to you? well, i have. and what if you knew that inevitably that one thing you had would disappear? all for the sake of practicality?
human beings are creatures of habit who like to be comfortable. but that can never be the case. because the only constant thing in life is change (isn't it ironical?). and many a time, change hurts. because it jolts us out of routine, out of habit, out of things we're used to and hold on to.
somewhere out there is a group of people. who in their own way are close to me. and when i found out the inevitable is likely to happen - the group breaking up - i just don't know what to do. because when the group splits, i don't know where to go. for my first year of my uni life, these guys have in their own way been my support system, and i'll always know that at least one of them will be around where we always hang out... but with the new developments, i don't know.
like many i'll probably ask why. why practicality overrules sentimentality. hard as you try to argue for sentimentality, practicality will win out. it's inevitable. because things have changed, and to keep up, you have to change with them, no matter how much you may dislike it.
but i guess like many others, i'll have to accept the fact. and learn to adjust (painful as it may seem). but even though things may change there'll always be a part of SWAPS in me... ALWAYS! (always and forever).
till next time...
