"the only second chances are the ones you give yourself." is that the truth do you think? what about all those second (or third or 4th or 5th...) that other people give you? its true that sometimes you have to make things happen... that you make the best of opportunities.... because everyone makes mistakes. but not all of them have opportunities for redemption, for second chances...

many have claimed that the future, YOUR future, is what you make it out to be. that as a person you have the ability to decide, to shape what happens to you. that may be true in some instances... but your life isn't just about you. because you're not the only one involved in it. you can make the difference in someone else's future just as much (more or less) as anyone else can in yours.

but what if... what if it were true? that your whole life (all of it that's ahead of you anyway) is one where you have control? one life where it all depends on yourself? then who holds responsibility for what happens? YOU DO. but that's not how life works isn't it? yet at the same time you still hold responsibility (most of it anyway) for what happens in your life. your responsibility for all the missed chances, the mistakes, the should-haves, could-haves, might-have-beens... and for all the second (and third and 4th and 5th and...) chances that come your way. and when the chances do, you make the best of them. because it isn't every day you get the opportunity to fix a situation gone wrong.
